Moved by intuition in 2003, Carlos Gómez Montoya made his first trip to the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Colombia, to meet the Wiwa indigenous community. It was an encounter that showed to him a new path for his personal, artistic and professional life. After this first experience there have been many other trips that have strengthened their relationship with that territory, with its people, its culture, its music and its spirit. This relationship with the ancestral world was reinforced by his encounter with the Muisca community of Ráquira, Boyacá, Colombia in 2007.
